The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Program
The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) is a global skills certification popularly recognized in European countries, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, in the Middle East countries, Singapore and other ASEAN countries, and the United States of America.
The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) is a skill certification, e.g., technical qualification, designed by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) that will allow you to support the work of professional accountants. The CAT final-level examinations are equivalent in standard to the first year of a university degree programme.
A series of Certifications
The CAT has three (3) program levels with certification in each of these programs issued by internationally recognized associations, to wit:
Certified Bookkeeper
CAT Level 1
issued by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB), United Kingdom
Registered Cost Accountant
CAT Level 2
issued by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA), Australia
Certified Accounting Technician
CAT Level 3
issued by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA), Australia; or Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), New Zealand; or, Institute of Accounting Technicians (IAT), Canada
